Narendra Modi and the 'Sash of King Abdulaziz Al Saud'
Conferment of the ‘Order of King Abdulaziz Al Saud’, the highest
order of merit and the top civilian honour of Saudi Arabia, on the Indian Prime
Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has created a flutter in Indian politics. A number
of questions have propped up. They vary from the basic question of ‘why’ to a
variety of hypothetical explanations. Has it been given to ‘soften Modi’s
alleged anti Muslim stance’, is the most commonly asked question.
